Dating after rehab? Honestly… what a total nightmare.

You get through the hardest chapter of your life.

You survive rehab, rediscover who you are, finally feel halfway human again, and then someone says:

“So… want to grab a drink sometime?”

And suddenly, it’s like you’re speaking two different languages.

After I lost Andy, my husband, to COVID, I drank to survive, I drank to cope, and then I just… drank.

Through the grief, the stress of solo parenting, and the pressure of running multiple businesses, I drowned it all.

Until one day, I didn’t.

Rehab at the Priory saved my life. It stripped everything back and gave me the

tools to rebuild.

But here’s the thing no one talks about: just because you’re sober, doesn’t mean

the rest of the world suddenly gets it. Especially when it comes to dating.

Trying to date while sober felt… weird.

Everyone meets over drinks. Alcohol is the social lubricant that makes bad small

talk bearable and rejection easier to swallow.

So, where do people like us go? That’s why I created @Sober Love.

This isn’t just another dating app. It’s a place where sobriety is celebrated, not

explained, and real connections happen when you show up fully present.

More than just dating, it’s a community for anyone sober, sober-curious, or on

their own recovery journey to find friendship, support, and belonging.

If you’ve ever looked at dating apps and wondered, “Where are my people?”
