When I lost Andy, my soulmate and Finn’s dad, our world fell apart. Parenting through grief felt impossible at times, and I didn’t always get it right. There were moments I felt completely lost, struggling with my own pain while trying to support my son.
Slowly, with support, sobriety, and the love of my incredible son, I began to find my way back. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. Along the way, I’ve learned how to turn grief into purpose, and I’ve started building a community to support other widowed parents navigating this difficult journey.
I recently sat down with Aisling Keenan on the everymum podcast to share my story. Aisling created such a safe, compassionate space that allowed me to open up honestly about parenting through loss, finding hope, and learning to move forward, not just move on.
This conversation is raw, emotional, and deeply personal—but I hope it can bring comfort, encouragement, or inspiration to anyone walking a similar path.
