This time last week, I was doing a photo shoot for a major UK newspaper all about my sex life.

The feature dives into my personal experience of widow's fire, that
undeniable urge for intimacy that can hit you out of nowhere after loss.
After losing the love of my life, I didn’t just grieve. I wanted to feel alive
again, to laugh, flirt and connect with someone new.
That deep need is what inspired me to launch WidowsFire, the cheeky
sister app to Chapter2.
WidowsFire is a space for widows, widowers, and anyone who’s lost a
partner later in life to rediscover desire without shame, without
commitment, and without the pressure to move on in a way that doesn’t
feel right.
It’s about letting yourself have a little fun again. Feeling sexy, seen, and
confident.
Taking back a part of yourself that’s often silenced in grief.
I’ve written a couple of blogs for the WidowsFire site, very real and
very, very rude. 😏
But for now, just know if you’ve ever felt the ache of widow’s fire and
thought you were alone in it, you’re not.
It’s not always easy to say this stuff out loud, but it matters.
Because the more we talk about it, the less alone we all feel, and that’s
where the real healing starts.
